Our Community Impact

Party in the Park exists to create an accessible community day that people can enjoy without paying an admission charge. Its impact is wider than the entertainment on stage.

Local participation

The event creates opportunities for performers, community groups, charities, traders, food vendors, volunteers and workshop providers to meet the public. Historical records also show how those relationships have developed over time.

Free family access

Keeping entry free can reduce one of the barriers to a family attending a large organised event. Fundraising and sponsorship therefore have a direct connection to community access, but the site will only publish financial or economic-impact figures where they are supported by verified records.

Evidence, not slogans

Community Impact will use confirmed attendance, volunteer hours, participant numbers, workshops, local talent, fundraising and other measurable information where available. Unverified estimates will not be presented as facts.
