More than the DJ
Alongside providing music, DJ Funky Monkey is part of the team that keeps the entertainment side of the festival moving. His Party in the Park roles include DJ, Stage Manager and organising and coordinating the dance groups and live bands that take part.
That means his contribution stretches well beyond an individual set. From helping performers get where they need to be to supporting the running order and keeping the stage programme moving, he is part of the practical work that brings the live entertainment together.
Connected with Big City Radio
DJ Funky Monkey is also connected with Big City Radio, Party in the Park’s media partner. The two profiles are linked so visitors can explore that relationship without losing his own long-standing Party in the Park story.
Part of the story
His archive records involvement in every Party in the Park event year except 2024. Profile history deliberately shows the event dates rather than individual set times; detailed performance times remain in the relevant event programmes.
